Cationic polyacrylamide is effective flocculants over a wide range of PH and nontoxic. They could be specially used for the wastewater with negative charges. SINOFLOC offers a brand range of cationic polymer flocculant for municipal wastewater treatment like clarification or settling, sludge thickening and sludge dewatering.
•For maximum effectiveness, dry and emulsion polymers should be diluted with water up to 0.5% concentration prior to application. •Dry polymers are diluted with a day tank and low speed mixer; polymer is added with an eductor and funnel. Most dry polymers require 1 to 4 hours of solution aging. •Emulsion polymers may be diluted using a day tank and

Flocculants ( Polyelectrolyte ) - Chemicals Polyelectrolytes are water-soluble polymers carrying ionic charge along the polymer chain. Depending upon the charge, these polymers are anionic or cationic.

polymer dissolution. Best practice is to use these in-line dilu-tion systems followed by a mixing/aging tank fitted with high/low level probes to refill the tank. The optimum concen-tration in the mixing/aging tank is 0.5 percent, and in no case should the initial concentration of the polymer be less than 0.25 percent for best results.
Accepta's comprehensive range of polymers has been developed to suit a wide variety of wastewater treatment and effluent treatment applications and includes structured polymers, co-polymers; and low, medium, high and very high molecular weight cationic and anionic polymers in both liquid/emulsion and dry/powder forms.

The Use of Cationic Polymers as Primary Coagulants in Water Treatment. On fractionated waters, alum was best for removal of humic and fulvic acids as measured by UV absorbance, although polyDADMAC was as good for the river water; carbohydrates were a very minor component and there was little effect where data could be obtained; for proteins alum then DADMACs were the best performers for the river water.
Wastewater Treatment - Charge Types of Flocculants. The charge may be positive which designates the water treatment polymer as a cationic flocculant. The charge may be negative which designates the water treatment polymer as an anionic flocculant. The charge may be neutral which designates the water treatment polymer as a nonionic flocculant.

Superfloc - Dry powder flocculants. These cationic flocculants are also offered in a range of molecular weights. This enables the customer to select the optimum polymer depending on application needs, such as low molecular weights for low shear applications (e.g. gravity belt thickener) to very high molecular weights for high shear environments (e.g. centrifuge decanters).
